Adin Ross wants answers after Ray J’s viral fight with Supa Hot Fire turned into one of the strangest moments from Brand Risk 14.
The streamer addressed the amateur MMA bout during a recent livestream after Ray J’s post-fight comments sparked online speculation about whether the match went exactly as planned. Ross said his team wanted to “investigate” the fight after Supa Hot Fire appeared to barely engage in the first round before suddenly turning up in the second.
“Ray J obviously what he said after the fight… Supahot not throwing a f***ing punch like in the first round, we need to look into that,” Ross said. “We need to investigate that.”
The fight took place at Brand Risk 14 in Las Vegas, where Ray J faced comedian and internet personality Supa Hot Fire, whose real name is DeWayne Stevenson. The bout ended in the second round after Stevenson landed a hard shot that dropped Ray J and forced the referee to stop the contest.
The knockout spread quickly online, but the reaction shifted after Ray J appeared frustrated during the post-fight chaos. According to multiple reports, he suggested that he and Stevenson “had a plan” and complained about money being lost after the fight ended the way it did.
That comment gave fans more than enough to work with.
Clips from the fight showed a strange change in pace between rounds. In the first round, Supa Hot Fire mostly moved around the cage and threw very little. In the second, he came out with more pressure and finished the fight in under a minute. Ross said that difference made the result look “weird” and added that the situation was being taken seriously.
“Supahot has been nothing but a great fighter,” Ross said. “Supa looked like himself in the second round. Now do I know why Ray J said what he said? No I don’t.”
The fight was already surrounded by internet drama before the cage door closed. During the pre-fight rollout, Supa Hot Fire mocked Ray J while wearing a Kim Kardashian shirt, a reference to Ray J’s long-publicized past with her. Security reportedly had to step in after tensions rose at the promotional event.
Ray J’s loss also drew extra attention because of his recent health concerns. Reports noted that he had previously spoken about serious health issues, which made some viewers question why he was taking part in an amateur MMA fight in the first place.
Still, there is no confirmed evidence that the fight was fixed or staged.
