50 Cent is moving ahead with his plans to turn downtown Shreveport into a major film, television and entertainment hub.

During a fireside chat at the Shreveport Convention Center, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and members of his G-Unit team shared projected completion dates for three major developments: G-Stage, G-Unit Studios and the G-Dome.

G-Stage, also known as Stage Works, is expected to be completed and actively filming by November. Office space at G-Unit Studios, formerly Millennium Studios, is projected to be ready in early 2027, with full production operations expected by the end of that year.

The G-Dome and its surrounding public park are expected to be completed by March. Following the discussion, 50 Cent joined local officials for a groundbreaking ceremony marking the beginning of construction on the venue.

“I don’t never say I’m going to do something and not do it,” Jackson told the audience.

The rapper and television producer also revealed that he has invested approximately $11 million of his own money in Shreveport and purchased around 20 downtown properties as part of the redevelopment effort.

“The success in Shreveport is tied to my success as a producer,” he said.

Beyond the construction updates, 50 Cent said local residents will have opportunities to work on future G-Unit productions. Open casting calls are planned for scripted and unscripted projects, while workforce development programs will help train people for behind-the-scenes roles.

“There’ll be open casting calls, even for some of the non-scripted programs,” Jackson explained.

He added that training opportunities will be available but stressed that hiring will depend on performance, professionalism and efficiency.

The expansion builds on 50 Cent’s growing presence in Shreveport, where he has already hosted the Humor & Harmony festival and established G-Unit Film and Television at the former Millennium Studios site.
